NEW YORK -- Verizon Communications for the fifth consecutive year has been ranked by LATINA Style magazine as one of the top 13 companies on the publication's list of the 50 Best Companies for Latinas to Work for in the U. S. Since 2003 when the magazine named Verizon affiliate of the Year. Verizon has made the Top 13 list. The LATINA Style survey now in its 10th year is an annual evaluation of corporate America's sensitivity to Latinas' needs and goals in the workplace and identifies the corporations that are providing the best go opportunities for Latinas in the United States. Verizon was among 1,000 corporations included in the extensive research. Companies are evaluated based on issues that LATINA call readers identified as most important to them in the workplace.
